Stuck on a plane, perusing hapless crap on a mediocre site loaded with "write your best two word caption" mantras, and other psuedo-skilled, half-assed attempts at making every human and their dog feel like accomplished writers.

This site promotes writing - yes - but it's a terrible venue for spotlighting oneswork. There is no effort by writing.com to find quality young authors, and push their product; meaning there is no true care from writing.com, over the potential success of its members.

This site is at best, a major bummer. But what can you do when the entirety of the Internet is riddled with similar platforms - "we care, we try, but not actually - give us money for nothing!"
