Robert Waltz talked about Boring   today in his blog. If you want to know what he said, go read it.

I mention it because, well, I'm a musician, and we always
borrow, steal from others to get a jump on whatever we're doing. I needed a place to start, and he provided it! Thanks, Mr. Waltz!!

So here's the question: Are you bored? Need a little project? Wanna have some fun? Maybe make others laugh?

Here's your chance!

Using this as your first line: A cheeky young monkey named (insert name)

Write a
Limerick that makes us either laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh, but sometimes ya' just need a good cry.

Yesterday I missed National Meatball Day

Well, I do have a good excuse; it was also
National Napping Day!

Today marks the Anniversary of the First Phone Call.

Thomas Watson was notified that his auto warranty was expiring.
I didn't even realize it was and I had a meatball sandwich. *Rolling*
Dare I say that became the first wake up call.
Today Is National Proofreading Day  !!

How are you celebrating it?
Protesting its existence.
Notional prof-reading day? Bitter make shore those typos are mist spellings are awl corrected!
☘️ Richard ☘️ Author Icon - My first attempt at fermenting it, so it may have a pretty good kick when it's done.

One of my favorite musicians would have celebrated a birthday today.

1923 - 1968 (John) "Wes" Montgomery, an influential and Grammy Award-winning jazz guitarist, was born in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Montgomery created a distinct sound by strumming with the side of his thumb and playing in octaves.

An example of a tune he performs that many people are familiar with.

Cool!
Sorry but it reminds me of "on hold" music.

Very informative. Lots of reasons to celebrate, with pound cake of course.
Happy Birthday Adherennium!!

Today Is National Small Dog Day

Small, Mighty, and Fearless
In an earlier group home I used to live at, the staff that lived in the house with us had a small dog called Ellie May (after The Beverly Hillbillies). We bonded really well shortly after I moved in and it became clear that I was her favorite. Every early morning while waiting to be picked up to go to the Day Hab "school" I would sit on the couch and she would snuggle down lying on the back of my neck. This was 4 years ago and I miss her very much. *Heart**Care*
If I knew how, I would post a picture of Prince, our little black Chihuahua.
Mousethyme - missing luck Author Icon - I'll bet he's super-cute and probably a 'scrapper.'
My Ma had a chihuahua mix. I can't remember what the other breed was. Teacup something, maybe? Speckles was a cute doggie. When anyone looked hard at one of us, you'd have thought she was going to eat that person alive!
Last night we watched a delayed version of the local news (Lies preempted the normal broadcast).

The weather told us that there was a less than 50% chance of a coating to an inch of snow.

This morning we awoke to heavy snow, already 2+ inches, that plans on hanging out until noonish.

Now I know the magnetic pole is shifting, but can someone explain how Long Island moved to Buffalo?

☘️ Richard ☘️ Author Icon - Still 30" is nothing to sneeze at. I pray that we don't get the storm they're talking about on Friday. I haven't heard anything on the news yet, so that's a good sign. Just got my fingers cross that it doesn't hit. Snow here is still coming down at a good clip.

Stay safe as well.
I used to play weatherman. I would walk outside in the morning and guess what kind of day it would be. The crazy part is I seem to remember being more accurate than the weather forcast most of the time! *Laugh*
Do you want to borrow my snowshoes? Sounds like you could get more use out of them than we will. They keep telling us we'll get four, six, or even eight inches of snow, and we end up with a dusting if we get any at all.

Okay! They weren't exaggerating this time

We're at least 24 inches, still snowin' and blowin'.
Haven't been outside yet, it's most likely not slowing until after 12 PM, and won't actually wrap up until after 6 PM.
Clean up is going to be a multi-day process, with the wind blowing snow back where we've cleaned it up.
It's going to be a
streakless couple of days!
At least we didn't lose power!
We're back to 10 below, but we only got 4 inches of snow
Stay safe and warm
We are getting snow off Lake Michigan in Indiana. We have 3 inches but it is blowing snow and we have snow drifts. Where are you spring?
If the blizzard you're getting is the same as the one we're getting where I am, that's not a surprise. It's still snowing and blowing here too. I can't see out most of my windows.
Waiting for the storm, I decided that maybe a visit to "EXPRESS IT IN EIGHT was in order.

With apologies, that visit produced:
