This is your at random reminder to enter the One-Line Lyric Challenge this month.

Running on very little sleep and even less brainpower, so I'll keep this brief.

As usual, both prompts are due at the end of the month.
Edited
Slightly delayed, but the new prompt for March has been posted over at "The One-Line Lyric Challenge now.

Prizes for last month will be sent out shortly!

Lyric Prompt: "The Mountains Win Again
Song Prompt: "Papa Was a Rolling Stone

Yikes. I still need one more Bradbury submission by the end of the week. I love that this is non-competitive. I just need to squeeze it in! *Heart*
I'm not going to have a chance to enter, but I do want to say that I thought the prompt was great. The Mountain Wins Again gave me about a half-dozen ideas. Plus a fantastic song! Alas looking at my next 29 hours, they're booked pretty solid. The Mountain might get written about anyway, though. So thank you.
Rick Dean - Dinosaur Author Icon - Please do write it anyway even if you miss the deadline! Inspiration has no deadline.
A BIG congratulations to all the Quill winners out there!
I love to see so many friends' names on the list.

Even though the
"The One-Line Lyric Challenge didn't win a Quill award, I hope you'll still consider entering the challenge this month. We only have one person who's entered, so far. I'd like to see a couple more.

It's fun and easy! And you can use the story in The Bradbury! Give it a go!

Why, yes, I am the one person who's entered... why do you ask?

With the marvels of the modern world, I am posting this from
30,000 feet in the air.

Yes, I can see you from here.

I love this cat. Pretty.
Wow, you're really high.

The big difference between the cat and I?

I would be screaming.
If anyone needs me, I'll be in California for the long weekend, fleeing from the snow and cold.

Haven't been back there in at least 2 years.

After 31 years, it seems that January has finally come to an end.

No, it isn't a short story for the Bradbury. Haven't really been able to write anything else lately, I'm afraid.
BUT, you still wrote something, and that's all that matters. And it's excellent. Love the choppy rhythm.
We got a total of 15" of snow here, but thankfully didn't lose power.

Hope everyone on WdC is staying safe out there!

Meanwhile I got no snow, basically just chilly weather
Believe it or not, it's time for a new song prompt.

This song just came on my shuffle.

The scenery looks more like Arizona than Ohio. *Ha*
The truly sad thing is that this song is still relevant.
BƖųҽyҽʐ ꨄ Author Icon - Yeah, these are Joshua trees so probably taken in Joshua Tree National Park in California, but could be Arizona or Nevada. Definitely not Ohio.
And another Quill nomination!

Best flash fiction: "Young Love

That's a total of
5 nominations this year, including "The One-Line Lyric Challenge for best activity!

Which is pretty much everything I wrote or did on here in 2025.
GERVIC Author Icon - Yes, it is a feature in the new editor. You can add a column layout and then edit the columns separately by right clicking on a column and clicking "Edit this column styling...". There you can edit the background color, borders, and corner roundness. If you have the new editor, I'd play around with it!

Ѧͷͷΐ Author Icon - I got it! Wow! I didn't know that's in there. Thanks Anni!

          Great work . . .
congrats.

Thanks for all the notes and well-wishes for my 5th WdC anniversary!
It's been a wild ride here at Writing.com. It really has changed my life, for the better.

Also,
thank you to whoever gave me two more Quill nominations!
