| Hi vivacious, I like your writing, and was wondering if you could help me figure out how to use the colored letters and if you wouldn't mind looking at my "PROVERBIAL SARCASM" it's proverbs and an original quote I wrote too arranged so the first word of the proverbs can be read vertically as another proverb. I haven't posted this yet, but the first letters (or the whole quote) I wanted in colors of the rainbow and the first letter a little larger so to stands out. I'm not even sure if I'm violating writing dot com policy, I don't think I am, please help. PROVERBIAL SARCASM {red:} A wise man words express deep streams of thought. {orange:} Smile...that's the curve that helps to set things straight. {yellow:} One hand opened in charity is worth two closed in prayer. {green:} Forgiveness is the fragrance the violet sheds on the heel that crushed it. {light blue:} Tact is the art of thinking twice before saying nothing. {violet:} As it is wise not to seek a secret, it is also honest not to reveal one. {red:} No one, regardless of how shrewed or well advised he is, can stand against the LORD. {orange:} Some cause happiness wherever they go, others whenever they go. {yellow:} Wise men learn many things from their enemy. {green:} Eternal visitation is the price of relatives. {light blue:} Reverence for God gives life, happiness and protection from harm. {violet:} The things which hurt, instruct. {red:} Under the cover of 'expect nothing', disappointments can not hit you. If you notice the first letters of the proverbs say ' A SOFT ANSWER TURNS AWAY WRATH ' or will when I finish. The last one there I wrote myself (my original) Under the cover of 'expect nothing' disappointments can not hit you. I'm not good at this, I have only been online about a year. I do have a suggestion for the yellow letters which are hard to see, if they could have another color to outline the yellow, to help it stand out for improvement, I would put in the suggestion if I knew how. yeah that bad. Well thank you for reading. |
| Hi Duke the Fluke If you're needing help with the tags (colors and such), use the bar on top of the text window. For instance, if you want to bold a letter, highlight the letter you want bolded, hit the big B. Colors work the same way. Click on the little rainbow icon, and it'll give you a variety of colors to chose from (including several shades of yellow). Pick the text you want changed, the color you want, and it'll add the code you need. I'll add the first two lines of code so you can see: A wise man words express deep streams of thought. Smile...that's the curve that helps to set things straight. Or if you want, you can change the size of the first letter, too: One hand opened in charity is worth two closed in prayer. I hope that helps. |
