As you may have guessed, it is based somewhat on personal experience, but I still have a fair amount of research to do.
I'm currently working on a novel that has long been in my mind. It started as a short story for my creative writing class but I am turning it into a full-length novel. It is loosely titled "Triggers" (that was the title of the short story and it suited it well but I'm not so sure about that title for the novel) about the experience of a group of teenagers hospitalized in an adolescent psychiatric ward for suicide attempts. I am hoping it will be honest, darkly humorous, and ultimately hopeful.
