Hello everyone. I am new here and entirely new to writing. I am here because I was looking for resources to help my 12 year old daughter kickstart her writing skills. She just loves to read a lot of books and also indicated she would love to take up writing. I kind of encouraged her as most avid readers turn out to be great writers. Not being a writer myself, I do not know how to guide her and we actually do not know where to begin.

An AI recommended this community to me and I hope we can get the necessary advise we need here. Thank you
Post something (good, bad, brilliant, ugly... doesn't matter... ask for advice and join a newbies group.) Others have great advice for youth and newbies. One word of advice is universal: *Bookopen* read! *Smile*

First rule - Remember a critique may be a good learning experience in writing skills, or a great pat on the back. Sometimes it almost a recommendation to tear up the paper and start over! But always, it is just another person's opinion!
