I like your review philosophy!

By the way... "or even what those numbers by your name mean"... you're about to know. Those numbers are "community recognition". You get them for receiving Merit Badges, the number of years on the site, and a few other factors. Click someone's number and you can see the break down.

Thank you very much! I cringe at the thought of moderators or the wrong person going to the right one with a fully justifiable complaint: she was mean to me. I intend to stick around as long as they are willing to tolerate me.

I got over my fear and started reading about the numbers. Badges, that sounds delightful. I will read more about it as I explore the website. Thanks for the welcome!

You would have to harrass someone pretty badly before a moderator or staff member would write to you about it. I have never heard of anyone getting into trouble for the occasional snippy remark-- particularly if it is about someone's writing. Of course, I tend to avoid that sort of thing anyway. Hurt feeling happen, but I tend to think writer's need to grow a thicker skin.
