The assignment is to create a poem about a holiday impression. Though it is not a codified holiday, spring is a true gift after the roller-coaster of temperatures we've experienced this winter. Here are my impressions of today. They come with my prayer, that the next two forecasted bouts of winter temps with be rather mild by comparison. Blessings, All! Jay O'Toole |

| Here's the latest update on my health. The last part of the process happened yesterday, during the post-op doctor's visit. I'm on the mend. I'm sleeping better. The pain is mostly gone, but some pain visits me occasionally during this recovery process. Thank you, All, for praying. Having a kidney stone hasn't been fun, but at least I've been blessed to go 65 years, before I had one. Many dietary changes are being memorized because I don't want another, but seriously...No Dark Chocolate, No Cheeses, and No Brewed Tea? That's emotional pain, but I am committed to the change. The past two weeks will serve as my Coach. |
| It's something about oxalates, Ladies. It increases when caffeinated tea is brewed in hot water. Unknown about herbal teas. I have to research every one of these teas I'm interested in drinking. Oxalates are new to me, too. They're also the reason I can't eat spinach anymore. |
| Get well soon teacher Jay O'Toole I didn't know that you were going though this. Its good that you are already on the way to recovery. Praying for fast recovery. |
| I've added a new entry to my book, "These Are My JOTtings, Part #2" : " The Conflating of Truth" Today's poem responds to Prompt #10 at
The prompt word is "conflate." This is not in my typical usage vocabulary. I had to study the online meanings I found. To the best of my ability I have described it in poetic form. Enjoy! Blessings, All! Jay O'Toole |
