After dealing with a serious vehicle accident and being in the hospital, I had major head trauma that is still hanging around some, but showing improvement I am back. 8 months after the accident I was diagnosed with bladder cancer but am now cancer free after going thru chemo but as I said I found my way back to WDC! My thinking is slower for certain, sometimes my speech gets tangled up and I stutter, I may repeat myself but I am home!!!!

I have so missed this site I feel like crying let me tell you!
Welcome back!
I haven't started writing on here since I just got back to this site a short time ago. It's hard to concentrate like I used to do and get things quieted down in my mind enough to put my thoughts on paper. Maybe once I familiarize myself with Writing.com again and make friends, I will get it together. Meanwhile I will try and figure out things with tech support help and other "how to" forums! With chemo therapy I have forgotten a lot of the simple basic things I used to know by heart. Like how to create a new item, but I see an article on that I can read.
Meanwhile please hang in there with me!

I am so delighted to be back on my favorite site! I feel like I am home again!
It's been a rough two years with a bad vehicle accident causing me to have massive head trauma, then several months later being diagnosed with bladder cancer (thus my bladder was removed), followed by chemo therapy along with my rehabilitation. But the best news is I still have the urge to write and I remember my favorite place to relax! Writing .com! Yaaaaaaa!
Sorry for not paying closer attention to my notebook but have had several family members pass away this past year. Now I hope to concentrate more on my writing and reviewing others.
Were going to Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois this Friday to see my grandson graduate boot camp!! Then he heads to Texas! Were so proud of him! He mentioned the Navy showed him a few bad habits he had and changed his way of thinking around right quick! LOL!!!
I was never stationed at GLNB but did have some training there. I had a friend that was a marine and worked in the brig there. I did spend 2 1/2 months at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio Tx. HOT!!! and HUMID!!! and Gaint bugs lol.
