Summary of this Book...
Six is one of six Diviners in the Cathedral of Aisling, in the country of Traum. She was a foundling, brought to the cathedral and trained to be a prophetess. After nine long years of service, the scales before her eyes begin to fall away. She questions her destiny--especially when her sister prophetesses begin to vanish one by one. With her newfound frenemy, the knight Rodrick, she begins a journey that will take her far from the only home she knows, and even farther from that which she once believed.
This type of Book is good for...
Anyone who likes romance. Or fantasy. Or just a plan old, good book. I've tried to read many sci-fi and fantasy stories over the years. Few have held my interest like this one did.
I especially liked... | ||
Six is a flawed woman. There are many layers to her. The author is skilled at revealing those layers to us and to her characters when the time is right.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Immediately read the second one "The Knave and the Moon." It's not available at the library yet. Hopefully soon. I cannot wait!
This Book made me feel...
I had compassion for all the characters and really felt invested in what was happening.
The author of this Book...
Goes on my "favorite authors" list. She has written two other books previous to this series that I have in queue right now.
I recommend this Book because...
It's a great story. It's really well-written. You will enjoy it!
