Summary of this Book...
This is the sad story or Karen Silkwood and her work at Kerr-McGee, the plutonium producing mega corp of the 70-s - 80s. I saw it a long time ago when it first came out and saw it at the trade place. I wanted to see if it was as good as I remembered.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone who is interested in learning what a big corporation can be capable of (a la BP) when there is a lot at stake.
I especially liked...
Meryl Streep singing Amazing Grace. I loved Cher in this as Karen's gay roommate, Dolly. Kurt Russell is wonderful too.
I didn't like...
the ending, but I will not give it away.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
put it away for 30 more years.

sad.
The author of this Book...
is wonderful. It reminded me of what kind of performance Meryl Streep gave when she was young. Awesome. I think she is mostly overrated, though.

it is a compelling story that stands the test of time.
