The details of every even showed me life which otherwise would have remained hidden. I learned the details about a person disillusioned after the truth hit hime squarely in the face. I could see, hear and feel the emotions. | ||

It was difficult experiencing through emotional words that jumped off the pages the scenes of his hospitalization and how he was treated during these times and the times he went public and told his side of the story to the TV crews. | ||

I can relate to his experiences using a wheelchair because I also am a wheelchair user. I wanted to do this review so that people who wanted to know about history and how Vietnam vets were treated could get an up close and personal view through the eyes of someone when went there and did that. | ||

I felt the veterans should have been treated as human beings and nor as trash that should be thrown away or at least not neglected. | ||

This book is full of action and adventure, a roller coster ride through life with emotions flowing like electricity. It is a story of defeat of patriotism and a renewed focus to expose the hidden truth. It is a story of humanity over coming challenges and gaining purpose. | ||
