The plot weaves around fallen angel Seir's indecision, as Seir fluctuates between falling further or choosing the light because of his increasing love to the half-human Ava. Pulled in two directions by the dark forces and the light, a hopeless, grouchy, and morose Seir vacillates in anguish, in spite of the help offered by the angel Gabriel. Although the storyline captivates the reader with demons, angels, fights, and non-stop action, this novel's art is in its insight into good and evil, showing how anyone can become conflicted when caught in between opposing choices. | ||
