The Darkness of Hatred

A short poem about the world we live in now.

It seems as though we are loosing hope
In the world we thought so grand
The darkness of hatred is choking us
And causing wars across the land.

It looks like we are loosing hope
In our dreams of better things
The darkness of hatred has taken that from us
And along with it our wings.

It looks like we are loosing faith
In the god we thought was real
The darkness of hatred has clouded our minds
Confusing us about what we think and feel.

It seems as though the good times are lost
You know, the times that out weighed the bad.
The darkness of hatred has stolen that from us
And it refuses to give those times back.

The darkness of hatred has stopped us in our tracks
And has caught every one of us in time.
The darkness of hatred has shown it's self
Through our actions and state of mind.

The darkness of hatred controls our world
And it controls us as well.
The darkness of hatred seems to have consumed our souls
And given us this living hell.
