After the death of his wife, a man finds love in the most unlikely of people.

Garret Green a high school English teacher has just lost his wife to cancer. After struggling through the remainder of the school year he leaves the children with his parents and travels to Italy to try and regain some form of order in his life before having to return to work. While there he runs into a past aquaintance, and begins to develop a relationship, but comes up against conflict in dealing with the new relationship while still mourning the loss of his wife.
