An anniversary poem for friends who married late in life. |
| Seventeen The soft bickering of seventeen years ... enough for now. But seventeen years ... is never enough, even when compared to a lifetime without. Yet ... it must suffice. For seventeen more are not promised to those lucky to fall in love later in life. The soft bickering ... bittersweet to ears of one who still waits for love. © Kåre Enga juli 2003 catalogue number: [160.448] Notes: For Lee and Larry Olson of Bellefontaine, Ohio. Their 17th anniversary was July 11, 2003. They were married at the Bahá'í House of Worship in Chicago AND I WAS THERE! How the years go by. |
