About this bird I know

My Cockatiel

Tell me, if I'm crazy or maybe not;
Probably is your decision to make,
Sometimes I ask him what I forgot.
Talking about my Cockatiel, Jake;

I read him a poem the other day.
One that I had tediously written.
I asked him what he had to say?
Wound up quite viciously bitten;

Jake's a real good critic though.
He's a bird of very few words.
Seeds from his cage he throws.
Now does all this sound absurd?

Sits on his perch contentedly chewin;
My wife and I are makin' love.
To this he says, " Watchya doin?"
Hear us laugh in Heaven above!
