Holding On

this is a poem that i wrote in the despair of my boyfriend breaking up with me.

My heart has been stabbed
By too many people
All covered in holes
And bleeding out all its secrets

The price has been paid
For letting you get to me
And ripping apart
My hopes and dreams

All was trusted in you
To see it through
That we would always be together
But you failed me

Now I'm standing here
With a broken heart
And torn down spirit
Still holding on to hope
