Theo struggles to learn to control her magic and her temper.

Theo is frustrated at how slow Alfred is at teaching her magic. When Lord Elysia suggest they go and visit the Elves, Alfred says no so Theo decides to run away and trouble seems to follow her. The only good thing that comes out of it is the friends she makes on her journey. She even finds Fashante a lynx who becomes her familiar.
