It's a Girl Thing

Written for the Poem per day challenge, Jan 28th, 2005

Here I sit at my trusty keyboard
Happily typing my poem for the day
Went shopping and dined out this evening
A perfect end to a fairly nice day.

I have to admit that I am so cool,
In my new outfit I feel so spiffy,
Lime green pants covered in pink strawberries,
Appliqued on the front is Hello Kitty.

I guess you can tell it doesn’t take much
To make me feel so wonderfully happy
Just let me go shopping and give me some food,
And I will no longer be so snappy.
