I am Time

Time (personified) looks back on all that's happened - and all that will happen.

I’ve seen many days,
And I’ve seen many nights.
I’ve seen people fall
When they fought for the right.

I’ve seen mountains shrink
And I’ve seen mountains grow.
I’ve seen stars come ‘round,
And many star’s last glow.

I’ve laughed many laughs,
And I’ve cried many tears.
I’ve smiled many smiles,
I’ve lived many years.

One day I will die,
All will go amiss,
I’ll breathe my last breath…
All
shall
fall
into
endless
abyss.

For I am Time,
And it is my fate
To live on in silence
'Til I see Heaven’s Gate.
