Wrote this after reading about the tragic, suicidal death of a ten year old in my town.

Bullies

They say teasing is just a part of life
The bullies get their kicks by producing strife
What right does another have to cause misery to another
be it a neighbor, a sister or brother

Some people are sensitive
it's just the way they are
Ugly words can cause deep, emotional scars

Grow thick skin, let the words roll off your back
But who has the right to launch verbal attacks

The bullies find their prey, pick on them til no end
Sometimes all the victim needs are a few close friends

Allies to confide in, someone to have their back
Bullies know who to go after, low self-esteem is their crack

Cheap thrills for a moment, think of the consequence
Your harsh words and teasing could be the straw that breaks the camels back, or the reason behind a bullent spent.
