Needs Work But See What You Think. |
| *The Enemy Everyone has an enemy, Through the years of our lives, A rival who works To destroy the good times. Working so hard To avoid the traps, Set for us to fall Flat on our backs. We push through the trials, And hardships of days. just hoping to elude them, As hunted prey. In a certain circumstance, Which I fall into. The enemy's always there, There's nothing to do. For in my mind, This demon rests. Awaiting the moment, When times are best. There's no way to win, This battle inside. I've all but given up, In my search to hide. Though hiding is pointless, As proven through time. This demon can track me, No matter where I try. As life moves on, I progress and build. For a time something works, And I gain some thrill. Depending on the mood Of my enemy inside, Determines the speed Of my inevitable demise. This is my demon, My enemy for life. There's no beating it, No winning; just strife. -Dutch Siegfried |
