Just because she hates storms doesn't mean she can't ride one out |
| He knew she was afraid of storms And so he made sure He brought one Massive clouds whirled hail stones Hurricanic winds assailed every action Lightning scorched every word As if this storm wasn't enough From the distance she heard The rumblings of another storm When would it end? What he hadn't expected Was resistance Years had taught her To batten the hatches To steel up against the storm To ride the tide She may not like storms But she was no longer afraid of them Still the rumbling from afar Worried her Again, another one? The morning brought a revelation Not a storm Just overcast And with sweet understanding Sunshine Warmth Acceptance And dare she believe Understanding? No, no fear of storms She could fare them And not only survive But move forward. |
