Feels Like Home

Something for a contest. R&R needed :) I would like to improve on it.

I'm always looking but
never truly seeing.
My prayers, I hope
will reach heaven's ears.
Prayers for you
to finally come near.

You walk into a room
with your signature bright light.
You truly are
my gleaming shooting star.
With hair of night,
and a smile that the sun envies.

You took my heart
in a sweet instant,
and you keep it still
but you just don't know.
If I were only courageous,
you would've known this long before.

You would've known
how I watched and longed
with intense but scared eyes.
How your voice sings the song of my heart,
how your eyes, so mysterious,
feel like home.
