Based on a dream I had when I was younger. It stuck with me so I wrote about it.

Deceitful creature of the night
Came to my window
Filled it with life

Death is coming

Beckoned you through
My will so tempting
You entered here

Never leave me

Beauty lay in your eyes upon me
Taking over
Took me over

Sate my longing

Embrace me in your callous arms
Day is coming
Time has gone

Sun is rising

Kissed my fear in morning’s wake
A million years
My tears could make

Always crying

Promises made of next night’s meeting
Promises broken
Faith betrayed me

Hope is dying

In anguish asked for my forgiveness
Misery pleading
Oh so sweetly

Always forgiving

Lovely creature of the night
Came to my window
Filled it with life

Ruin depart me

Promises made of next night’s meeting
Radiant haven
So devoting

Moon is rising

Prayed to God that dusk beget you
To give us a kiss
Eternity lasting
And bring on the night
My darkness falling
