The Dinner Party

a 55 word story

I sat at the elegant table with Queen Hatshepsut, Sappho and Joan of Arc.

As the meal progressed, I asked each of my companions one question.

Amidst much laughter and fine wine, they answered me.

To my surprise, they each in turn asked a question of me.

It was a most enlightening and entertaining evening.
