dedicated to a dear friend of mine whom i disappointed so unlovingly

All hopes are lost
Into the smell of the fabric
Of depressed beauty
Shattering my mirror with
The wishful thinking of a lover
Cuts descend from the broken glass
Of a once great image
Lost from the loss of light reflecting back

It's the same each time I inhale
Breathe in my death
Exhale my soul
The array of love in my life
Became this dust-filled air
Suffocation bleeds nothing
In my blood-shot eyes
Disappointment replaced the
Tears of joy in their hearts

Where can I run
With my hands
Holding my chest because of the pain inside?
Despite these grievances, I'll promise you
No more,no more
I won't choke myself
On this paper rope anymore

Thanks for smiling to take
Me away from this darkness
And all your words
Made this gasping for air
Seem like the exact way
It really was, but I couldn't understand

I feel better, better without
This feeling of needed dying
The bright shine of your heart
Helped me leave this place
And brought me back to
Watching this beautiful sunset
With you shining more than the sun
