Ashort poem about my home town |
| City of the Tribes It has salmoned rivers, a trouted lake The sea lap's its back door For beauty and for splendour How could one ask for more. The BURREN 'cross it's fabled bay Where scented flowers abound The islands off it's western shore Can a welcome there be found. It's mountains which are numbered twelve Their eerie charm doth seep Into the very hearts of men A memory there to keep It has Corrib's banks, Collegiat spire A green cathedral dome They call it City of the Tribes I simply call it home. |
