Somewhere on the hillside
wild roses grow and bloom,
I've seen them in the evening
in the soft glow of the moon.

Memories come back to me
of a time when we were young,
when dreams and roses flourished
at the setting of the sun.


Somewhere on the hillside
in dreams of long ago,
we walk together once again

Our steps have gotten slower
and some days we just can't go;
Here in the winter of our lives
it's enough for us to know

that in the Spring the roses
will bloom up there once more,
