Slow is Ok

It isn't easy being slow..

It’s ok to be slow

When you know just where to go

It isn’t any matter

When you tend to make much clatter

If the people on the listening end

Care with much to do

And the purpose is to show

How much you love them too

It’s ok to be slow

When you’re a little turtle

When life seems all up hill

And full of endless hurdle

Some folks will run right passed

Some will get annoyed

But those who really take the time

Will build you friends that last

These times will be enjoyed

It is hard to be slow

When others just don’t know

It isn’t anyone's fault to be

A little unique and still be me.

It's ok to be slow, in fact

Take it from one who is, that's me!

It's even better to be slow

You will live your life so free!

You will hear the sounds of birds in flight

You will often stop and smell

The fresh cut lawn, the flowers folding at dust

You will always know so well

That in this crazy life there is

More than words can tell.
