Whisper Good-bye



Walk with me just once
Through the mist of memory.

Let me breathe your scent
in the shadowed blue
of one more dawn.

And sing to me of
Inspiration
Behind waterfalls
of streaming tears.

And hide myself
In the safety
Of your wings
For a moment more
Before you go.

But the hourglass
Has spoken.
The sand
Has run out
And there's no time
To say good-bye.
