BEAT THE HEAT

There are many ways to beat the heat
but this one will surely do;
Not everyone has a swimming pool
in America, sad but true!

It takes ingenuity and courage to invent
an inexpensive way of staying cool,
We can't afford the gas to drive the truck
so we'll turn it into a great pool!

There's not a single shark in sight
and the neighbors don't complain;
even tho' they turn their heads away
thinking I am quite insane!

No admission fees to cough up today;
I'm really in my glory!
"Where there's a will there is a way"
(A fitting end for my story!)
