Fading Like the Night

just a little poem i wrote while depressed

i try to speak the words.
whats running thru my mind.
i can not find the start.
and i so want to be kind.

my love is slowly dieing.
it is fading like the night.
what once was so strong
has somehow lost it's light.

i once held you close.
my heart beat for you.
slowly i am releasing
all my love once true.

a little at a time
i pull myself away.
all my promises echo
lies that i will stay.
