The effects of the Gulf |
| The water of the Gulf is warm this time of year. It's just warm enough to relax the mind, renew the spirit. You can stand and look at the night sky for hours and never catch a chill. The sea breeze wraps itself around you like grandma's quilt. I love the familiarity of it, I miss the serenity of it. I miss the beauty of the waning moon above the water hanging like a promise. The city lights compete, Mars not denied his place The summer sky his domain, standing strong against ever encroaching illuminations. I miss the sound of the surf coming and going. I miss the freshness of salt in the air Plaintive cry of seagulls, Lovers lost to the sea. I love the water. I find myself with a myriad of thoughts, two haunting me. Begging for answers that will not come like the tide they ebb and flow. |
