Tortured Angel

ironically i wrote this while attending my church...hmm...

Lost in this endless sea
Of self hatred and self doubt
Drowning in myself
I can’t find a way out.

Searching for answers
Begging for a clue
My determination disappearing
Can you see me reaching out to you?

A dark and tortured soul
Roaming in an endless night
Trying to appear normal
With an affectation of light

Banish me to Hell!
Slit my throat and let me bleed!
Tangled in my self wrought chains
Will my spirit ever be freed?

My flickering flame is growing dimmer
My heart is growing numb
My breath becoming shallow
My soul is dying here....unloved
