The dance that is life

I will dance

I will dance because I am able
I will dance because I must
I will dance because I am told I cannot
I will dance because I was sure that I couldn’t
I will dance because I am
I will dance because can
I will dance even when I cannot
I will dance
Because this dance is mine to dance
And dance I will
Till the last drop of sweat drips from my spent body
Till the music no longer leaps or drones
Till all my partners have left the floor
Till my limbs will hold me up no more
I will dance.
