My Daddy...My Hero

A poem I wrote for my Daddy a year after he passed away.

The man who meant the most to me
Was here and gone before I could see
I had a father who never cared
But I had a daddy who was always there
My daddy taught me about unconditional love
The kind that comes from our Father above
He taught me about bravery and how to be strong
He told me to keep going when the road was too long
He taught me so much, but I just couldn't see
Exactly how important he was to me
This man that I love went to heaven a year ago
But I'll always remember him as...
My Daddy...My Hero
