For My Earth...

A Poem dedicated to My Ravaged Earth.

For my Earth …

The sun hides behind a cloud,
And the sky weeps upon our head,
The water falls upon a shroud,
And the acid melts away the lead.

Smoke pours out, spewing more,
Dying trees gasp for breath,
Burning flesh, glory in gore,
Baby smells the air of death.

Running fast to keep control,
Even when their lives are broken,
Though some had to sell their souls,
A few of us have at last spoken !

Stop this killing ! Stop the murder !
Stop the war ! And end this terror !
Clear the smog, let's have clean air,
Let's see the blue sky upon the yonder.

Stop this endless race for power
Make the Earth a better place.
Let us grow up, let us be better,
Let's not make the same mistakes.

Let us now stand up together.
Let us then start giving,
As good as we get, and even better.
Let us now start Living !
