WITCHES BREW A witch can have a bad day, too, When making up her witches brew; Forgets to remember not to taste The brew before, but what a waste! A new recipe in hand, she tries; Adding the gnat's teeth and black flies; It's smelling good, she takes a sip, Smiling as it curls her lip! It needs something, she said, with a cry; So she jumped upon her broom to fly Down to the river to collect fish eggs; She was a bit unsteady on her legs! Up and away she tried to soar, But the broom didn't want to leave the floor' She took another sip of the brew And told the broom what it must do.. Once out the door, the broom did oblige And gave the witch a merry ride Until it hit head-on a strong old tree; And the witches' brew was a memory! The moral of this little tale: Witches brew will never fail; So remember as the years go by It's best you don't drink and fly! Countrymom 10/5/03 |
