A HOT FLASH IS A LIE

A hot flash is a lie
that estrogen contorted
from somewhere deep inside
and our thermostat fell for it.

It's always been the cause.
Our bodies are its pulpit

Just enough will cause a flow
through the best years of our lives,
and never let us go
until the gross hormone subsides.

Then like any other lie,

and freeze like when it snows.
