WE ALL NEED LOVE We all need love, it gets us through All the sad and bad times, old and new; An empty heart can not go on alone, It takes love to make a house a home. We all need love, it's there to share With folks who take the time to care; It's there with friends who pause to listen And share with us the tears that glisten. From the time you hear a baby's first cry For want of a cuddle or a lullaby; To the aged folks who sit all alone Spending their last days in a nursing home. We all need love, from beggar to king, Those who deny it miss the golden ring; It's the basic need of each and everyone From morning's sunrise 'till setting sun. Love can't be borrowed or bought in a store, Those who have it never need ask for more; It's freely given and comes back to you, We all need love to see us through! Countrymom 8/30/03 |
