The one true King

Jesus, Our King

He was a King
wearing a crown of thorns
ridiculed by many.
A King that
should have been
wearing a crown of rubies.
He was a King
carrying the world's weight
shunned by many.
A King that
should have been
carried and worshiped by all.
He was a King
performing miracles to the unworthy
betrayed by many.
A King that
should have been
accepted and honored.
He was a King
sacrificing his life
hanging on a cross,
asking God
to forgive all sinners.
He is a King
who is knocking
will you answer
the door opening
your heart to him?

Author's Note: God has done so much for us. He gave us His son so that we could be forgiven for our sins yet, there are still many that refuse to accept Him. He always hears us and is waiting for us to accept Him. We are the ones that choose to shun Him.
