Melia's relationship with cats

My cats know when I need them,
They simply come up to greet me
or come out of the wood works.

Shadow, my former stray,
has a special intuition
that allows her to feel
when exactly I need special time
with her.

I would have never thought of me
as a cat person before
my first cat, Sheila.
I was very adamant
that I would never own a cat.

Then Sheila came along changing my life.
She would come up to me
sitting in my lap for hours
knowing that at that specific time
I needed her warmth and attention.

Now I would not know what to do
without my four cats,
Sheila, Stella, Sam, and Shadow.
They have calmed me down many a times
when I thought life was just to stressful.

I always loved dogs
but I have a new found love
for cats.
Dogs are great
but they need constant attention
and are constantly in your face.
Whereas cats know when to leave you alone
and when to stay close by.

Cats are my confidants
in times of need.
They are also wonderful cuddlers.
There is nothing that can compare
to owning a cat.
