I wrote this as a gift for friends who celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary in 2002.

You live my soul.

You are absorbed throughout me.
I exist in you and shall exist hereafter.
I fall asleep with calm on my face
Feeling this peace you have placed upon me.

Honor me with strokes of your fingers.
Whisper to me rhymes of bliss
And invitations of desire.
Give my eyes the privilege of your face.
Give my mouth the flavor of yours.
Give my form the harmony of your own.

All my feelings are promises.
My destiny rests with you.
Grant me the pleasure
Of basking in all that you are,
