A Short Biography

Who is Crickado?

         Well, my full name is Christian Fernandes and I was born and raised in Massachusetts. The handle crickado comes from an old family nickname. When I was very young some family members called me cricket. For some reason, laziness probably, the -et was dropped and the Crick stayed. My Mother still refers to me as Crick even today. When she would get excited about something she'd add the a-do after the Crick. Thus Crick-a-do. Original, no?

         In any event, I'm a proud member of the US Air Force. Most of my family is still shocked that I'm able to live a "military" lifestyle. I enjoy it, but do miss home from time to time.

         I enjoy writing and reading as a hobby. I write mostly poems and short stories. In my free time I enjoy camping (non-RV style), hiking (trekking for days on end), computers (if I can get it to run), and trying to learn how to play the guitar (or at least how not to sound as bad playing one). There's not much else to add really. Like I said in the Description: it's a short bio.
