I've almost made it through December...

A HAPPIER NEW YEAR

I've almost made it through December
Though the going has been tough;
It seems like every dream I had
Was just never quite enough.

I didn't win the Lottery,
(A ticket might have done the trick);
But I forgot to take the chance,
It was over all too quick.

All last years resolutions
By the wayside they got laid;
I didn't get much done at all
Just a little money made.

I didn't get to travel,
It was something that I wanted;
Yet in spite of all of that,
My spirit is undaunted!

Looking forward to another year;
I know it will be better!
No new years resolutions here,
I threw away the letter.

Where there is life there's surely hope,
There is no need to fear;
Get up, dust yourself off and
Have A Happier New Year!
