What gift can I give you Jesus Christ
That would be appropriate and nice
To show appreciation for what you do
Helping with the doubts I go through


Being my guardian throughout the year
My best friend my problems you hear
I am poor I have little to give as a gift
So what can I give to honor my wish?


On your birthday you deserve the best
What can I give there is little I possess?
You show the way everyday of my life
I want to give You a gift simple and nice


You've no need for such material things
Nor for the pride these gifts could bring.
Very special more precious than gold
With no limitations on what it may hold


There must be a gift worthy of you Christ
Something I have to give especially nice
So to You from my heart now and forever.
Above all else the one thing that is better.


I offer you my love on your Holy birthday.
Please accept it Jesus Christ as I pray.
For Your guidance and help all the time.
