The Struggle Within

Don't ever lose the will to live.

On this night I gazed upon the stars
And I thought about how insignificant we really are
Why do I want to stay?

I struggle from within to survive
Or maybe I’m just waiting for death to arrive
To come and take me away.

I really don’t know what to hang on to
I want to end all relationships and be through
I feel I have no role to play.

Time passes me by day & night
For my will to live, I given up this fight
So I’ll wait for death to take me away.

As time clicks upon the midnight hour
I release my pain and anger as I stand up and holler
Screaming in the night for death to come take me away.

I sit here cold and with tears in my eyes
It comes to me only now, I truly realize
My one reason to live another day.

Because no matter how much I hurt or cry
The true fact of the matter is I am afraid to die
But yet I wait for death to come take me away.
