I didn't know that on that day
In a few short months
You'd be took away.
You fought so hard
My dearest one
One long battle
That went on and on.
The pain and suffering
You went through
But you just laughed and smiled
Like you always do.
I miss that smile, your happy face
No other could possibly replace.
The number of times
I've asked why
At the tender age of 10
You had to die.
